Situated along the coastline at Broadbeach on Queenslands Gold Coast, Amaya Broadbeach combines the space of a private residence with the convenience of premium resort facilities. Stretching 33 storeys high towards the sky and central between the sea and the river, Amaya has been designed to create constant connections with nature, from the spectacular views of the Hinterland and the ocean waves, to the surrounding greenery of the parks and lively streets, allowing you to engage with the natural beauty with ease. Partnering with GreenSwitch Electrical throughout the project, Rapid LED products feature throughout the entire AMAYA Broadbeach development, completing a comprehensive lighting package designed to service everything from the apartments and architectural areas through to common spaces, back-of-house areas and emergency lighting requirements.
One of the standout aspects of the Amaya Broadbeach lighting package was the sheer volume and variety of fittings required across the development. At the heart of the installation were ROME 8W Dimmable Downlights, providing a clean and consistent general lighting solution throughout the project. The IP54, 90mm cut-out fitting offers Tri Colour CCT for installation flexibility across different spaces. The project also incorporated countless metres of Rapid OneLine COB LED Strip Light in 3000K. Supplied in numerous project-specific lengths, the COB strip provided a more architectural lighting element and allowed Green Switch Electrical to integrate warm, continuous illumination into selected areas of the building.
Externally and around appropriate common areas, BAXTER-8 Round LED Wall Lights in black were supplied. With an IP65 rating and anti-corrosive construction, these fittings provided a robust architectural lighting solution suited to the coastal Broadbeach environment.
Common Area & Utility Lighting
A substantial range of Rapid LED weatherproof battens was also incorporated across Amaya Broadbeach, providing solutions for service, utility and common areas. The package included the HAWK 1200mm Wide Body Opal Batten in standard, emergency, sensor and emergency-with-sensor configurations, alongside the more compact HAWK 600mm Wide Body Opal Batten, again supplied across standard and sensor configurations.
Emergency & Exit Lighting
Across the project, GreenSwitch Electrical utilised a combination of RAPIDFIRE Recessed Spitfire Emergency Lights, RAPIDBLADE Surface Mounted Blade Exit Lights, RAPID CONNECT Quick Connect Exit Lights and JAILBREAK IP65 Surface Mounted Box-Type Exit Fittings.
The Amaya Broadbeach project demonstrates the value of a strong supplier-contractor relationship on a large-scale development. Rapid LED worked alongside Green Switch Electrical across multiple stages of construction, with project orders extending from 2024 through to 2026 and covering a broad mix of general, architectural, weatherproof and emergency lighting solutions.
