Rapid LED was proud to work closely with Seatree Electrical on the extensive lighting package for the new Bounce Surfers Paradise on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
Located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, Bounce is a contemporary social hostel and hotel featuring 470 beds plus a variety of common areas from the ground floor to the rooftop. With such a diverse mix of accommodation, hospitality and recreational spaces, the project required a carefully considered lighting solution that could support each area’s individual purpose while maintaining a consistent overall aesthetic.
Rapid LED worked collaboratively with Seatree Electrical throughout the project, supplying an extensive range of lighting products, switches, accessories and project-specific solutions. The strong relationship between the two businesses helped ensure Seatree Electrical had access to the right products, technical support and reliable supply required to deliver the lighting package across this large-scale development.
Inside the guest rooms and dormitories, BAXTER 8w wall lights create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, while several hundred recess mounted ROME Downlights and OPTIMA Track Lighting provides effective general illumination. Concealed warm white LED strip lighting highlights the property’s curved architectural features, custom joinery, tiled bathrooms and shower recesses.
Across the reception, café, restaurant, commercial kitchen, bathrooms and gym, a combination of BURLEIGH Surface Mount Downlights, Suspended Linear Lighting and feature illumination complements the building’s soft coastal colour palette and contemporary finishes. Outside, carefully selected lighting enhances the rooftop pool, bar and entertainment areas while allowing guests to enjoy the impressive Gold Coast outlook after dark. A vast array of white Emergency Lighting provides a clear safety compliance while complementing the overall design style.
The completed project is a fantastic example of how thoughtful lighting can bring together functionality, atmosphere and architectural design—helping create a vibrant destination where guests can stay, relax, socialise and experience the best of Surfers Paradise.
