Positioned just moments from the shoreline on one of the Gold Coast’s most prestigious beachfront addresses, Kloud by GRAYA is a rare collection of 23 elevated residences where timeless architecture meets modern coastal luxury. Designed to respond to its oceanfront setting, the building balances sculptural form with restraint, creating a calm and enduring presence along the Palm Beach skyline.
Curved architectural forms, a soft, restrained colour palette and natural materials inspired by the coast are carried consistently throughout Kloud’s apartments, alfresco social spaces and landscaped areas. These elements work together to create interiors that feel fluid, tactile and connected — spaces shaped as much by light as by form.
While Kloud’s architecture is designed to capture and celebrate daylight, a carefully considered LED lighting strategy ensures this sense of warmth and clarity continues well into the evening. Energy-efficient LED lighting is integrated throughout the building to provide precise control, longevity and minimal visual intrusion, allowing the architecture and materials to remain the focus.
A layered LED lighting approach brings depth and softness to interior spaces. More than 100 metres of concealed warm white Rapid LED Strip Light sections are recessed within joinery, ceiling details and architectural curves. Almost 400 discreetly placed BONDI Architectural Downlights gently wash walls and surfaces to provide ambient illumination, accentuating curvature and material transitions while eliminating harsh shadows. The resulting light quality is calm, warm and atmospheric — echoing the natural rhythm of the ocean beyond. In living areas and functional zones, more than 300 task-focused MIAMI Downlights are seamlessly embedded to deliver clarity without visual clutter. Colour temperature and intensity are balanced to support daily living while maintaining a consistent, residential warmth throughout the apartments.
Outdoors, subtle anti-corrosive WINSTON garden lighting traces pathways and planting edges, while weatherproof Rapid NEOFLEX weaves elegantly around the rooftop terrace and apartment exterior spaces. This creates a refined nighttime environment that feels inviting and intimate, without overwhelming the surrounding coastal setting. Super slim Emergency and Exit Light fittings are strategically situated throughout the building and basement carpark to ensure the safety and compliance are adhered whilst maintaining the continuity of the design.
